A few weeks back i got bored and decided to make a new profile picture on Facebook! – After a bit of thinking i got my camera out and started snapping away in the mirror.. As you do!
A short session on MX Fireworks and wallah..

Last week me and Ben took a trip to the Bells Mill Bridge on the canal! – It was about 9-10pm when we started out so it was pretty late when we got back but who cares the shots were worth it!
Me & Ben set out cameras up and then started snapping away – Ben then got his speed light flash out and started highlighting specific parts of the bridge (As you can see in the photos)
We managed to brave the cold for long enough to get some good shots.. Then i treated myself and Ben to some chips from the Chinese!
I was going to crop the first picture as i noticed there was a branch of a tree at the top but i didn’t want to loose the tops of the other trees so i decided not to crop it in the end!
On February 4th 2010 something miraculous happened! – You might remember this post where i was talking about how i had booked my theory test online.. Well time had flew by and it was the day!
The day got off to a bit of a slow start as getting out of bed before midday was a rare achievement for me especially being as it was my day off but i eventually got ready and ran out to the car with my highway code on one hand and notes in the other!
We got in the car and got to Wollaston where we realised we had forgotten the letter that the DSA had sent us so we had to go back and get it which delayed us a little more but we eventually got the letter and headed for Dudley!
After a little while i got bored of just sitting there looking out the window so i got out my highway code and carried on reading it and well before i knew it we were.. Oh dear!
We had to walk from the car park to the test centre but apparently it was “not far away”.. About 20 minutes later we actually reached the building but then we had to find our way to the basement.. Hum after a bit of confusion and a dodgy lift ride in the worlds most shake lift we reached we had reached our destination!
Now here’s the bit where i was stood in the que for reception and finally realised “Oh shit this is for real!”
After putting my stuff in a locker and a little bit of waiting i was lead into the room where the magic happened! – The guy asked me to pick a computer and sat me down and talked me through how it all worked!
I flew through the multiple choice questions and found that they were pretty easy and they were nothing like what i had been revising for.. Then it was time for the hazard perception part of the test!
The aim was to click as you see a developing hazard but you have to wait 10 seconds before each of the 14 clips so that was pretty boring but i sat through it all and i thought i had failed by the time i got to the 10th clip so i was preparing myself to here the words “Sorry, You didn’t pass” – Eventually the test was over and i filled in a survey and walked out to the reception where the guy was printing off my results!
The guy reached over and picked up the still warm piece of paper from the printer and then he was like “Well, Do you want to know?” my face was pretty much emotionless and i was shaking like a leaf but then he said “You’ve passed!” and i was like “OH MY GOD REALLY?” and i had the worlds biggest smile on my face!
I went to get my phone from the locker to called mother as she decided to take a stroll around Dudley! – I rang her and was like “Finished the test now!” and she was like “Okay ill be there in a minute!” and then i waited!
Eventually she walked through the door and she was like “Well..” and i was like “I PASSED!” and she was like “I knew your would” and i was like “Why do you have a bag of toilet roll?!” and she was like “Its not, Its kitchen roll!” and then we left and walked back to the car
We took a stop off at MC Donalds on the way home where i texted Ben and was like “I passed theory!” and then i chowed down on a big tasty with bacon! – I wanted to go see my car as the garage was literally across the road but mother said i couldn’t!
We eventually finished eating and then went home
I was pretty surprised that i past my theory test! I don’t really have high expectations of myself and I’m always putting myself down but hey I’m starting to change now and its for the good!
Anyway my overall results were 48 out of 50 for the multiple choice part and 51 out of 75 for the hazard perception! – Happy days!
Yesterday i was discharged from the children’s part of Russell’s Hall Hospital which came as a bit of a surprise! – The doctor there has seen me grow up from a little kid to almost an adult!
Getting to the hospital was a pain in the butt – As usual traffic was heavy and every space was taken and well after a lot of arguing we managed to get a space opposite the main entrance doors.. Result!
So we went in sat down and as usual the women called me to get weighed and to take my height.. I’m 9.5 stone and 5 foot 10! – After finding out how fat i was i went and sat back down and waited then the time had came to see the doctor!
For once i actually went in on my own being an adult and all and well we got talking about how things were and how things may turn in the future.. He flicked through my folder which was like a billion pages thick and he stopped at a letter from the physiotherapy and i explained how i didn’t get on with them and then we got talking about why and i explained and they always used to say that if i didn’t do my physio i would end up in a wheel chair but all this time they have been lying! – The doctor was like “Your condition wont get any worse you have developed your own ways to look after yourself”.. So the whole oh I’m gonna end up in a wheel chair sometime in the next few years of my life is no longer an immediate worry.. Which is good right?
After that i just had a big grin on my face.. It felt like some pressure had been relieved as i have always feared ending up in a wheel chair and the fact the physios kept rubbing it in used to upset me so much in the end i told them to go away in a special sort of Key way!
After that we got talking about how Oswestry were still looking after me if anything were to go wrong in the next few years but for now all is well!
Then it was time to leave.. Walking out of the children’s ward felt weird because of the fact I’ve been in and out of there for like 17 years and also knowing i wont ever go there again was a bit weird - On the way out we stopped at the reception desk and said bye and then said “Ive waited 17 years for this!” and still had a big grin on my face still lmao!
After that we went to MC Donalds and stuffed our faces, Happy days!
You may remember in the previous post me being harassed by this guy i didn’t even know.. Well today i got back from the hospital and got a message from the blog!

Comment:
You are such a retard, writing about yourself when no one even cares. This website is dead space LOOOLLLL
He tried to be anonymous and all but he failed! After reading the comment i had a brief chat with Sam and now the hostname is blocked from my blog, the vps, skws and black n blue fm!
If he continues Sam said he will block him through the Cisco to totally block him from any other website on the server theres no point in getting angry over it all i just think its time he grew up i mean hes ment to be 18 and yet hes acting like a 12 year old.. Some people!
One of my mates just invited me into a conversation with this guy called Ryan who we knew from years ago but we fell out and now i remember why!
We got talking and he was being all big headed and bragging then he turned around and called me a retarded spaz that doesn’t get out much nor get more attention from girls.. Correction a retarded spaz with a new Astra 1.8 in metro blue that does get out and does get attention from girls
At the end of the day im no diffent to any other person in the world apart from i have a disability and its really not a reason to go picking on someone.. I hope it comes back on him one day!
Also now hes storking my Facebook pictures and things.. I’m not even going to waste my time arguing back i am what i am at the end of the day and if he doesn’t like it he can go **** himself i mean come on i don’t even know him!.. Some people!
Today i had another driving lesson but this time it wasn’t the same Corsa that i had gotten so used too!
The instructor turned up at about 2:45 and i jumped out the front door with my little BSM track record booklet!.. It took about 5 minutes to fit the steering ball into the new Punto but we were soon out on the roads!
As it was a new car it took me about 10 minutes to get confident with the controls but then i found out the indicator switch didn’t work.. A good feature about the new car was the fact the steering was light and you were sat high up meaning you got a better view of the road and the fact the engine was fast but a bad feature was the fact that if you released the brake instead of going forward the car actually went backwards and also the whole indicator thing as well as the fact that when it changed gears itself it felt like it had stalled but it hadnt!..
As usual we drove down to Kidderminster BUT on the country roads i couldn’t actually see how fast i was going as the steering ball was blocking the view of the speedo meaning Nigel was always telling me to “Slow down!”.. Also my little indicator switch didn’t work meaning i had to shout at Nigel to “SIGNAL!” when i wanted to turn!.. That’s never a good thing is it?
After pulling into a random side road and stopping on a random street corner i got the opportunity to reverse around it! – At first Nigel was telling me what to do but after we finally got around the corner he was like “Do it again but i wont say anything”.. Predictably i went a little wide and ended up on the other side of the road which is never a good thing but then we did it again and he was happy and then told me to drive on!
We then went for a ride around BlakeDown and then headed back to Stourbridge to Wollaston where we pulled into a side street and did a 3 point turn! The first attempt was a fail but i blamed it on the fact that we were on a steep hill so we drove to a flat bit of the street and did another 3 point turn but this time i succeeded! Then we drove back down the road and into a dead end road where i reversed into a parking space and drove out back down the road again.. Humm..
Eventually i drove home and booked another lesson for the following Friday.. Overall Nigel said i have been getting better with most of the skills as i have gone from 1 (skill introduced) to 4 (skill carried out with minimal prompts).. Ive only had 6 lessons so far too!
Also i still cant believe that i found that i had better control with a Fiat Punto rather then a Corsa.. Balls trust me to have ordered an Astra!.. Still working like mad for the theory test too!.. Roll on February 4th!
Today i scoured the internet for a cheap VPS as i had a brilliant idea to create a fail over DNS server due to the recent unforeseen down time! (The less said about that the better!) – I was a little dumb-founded to the amount of actual companies offering them but then i remembered that Sam was hosted with a company in London called Tagadab where for £9.99 a month you get 10gb of storage with 500gb of data transfer! – I went ahead and signed up but then on the payment page there was no option for PayPal nor direct debit.. ARGG!
So i went back to Google and asked for a VPS with PayPal as the payment method and i came across a company called ServeByte! – Being an American company i had to go back to Google for a currency converter but within moments of checking out the site i had purchased a basic VPS to see what their services were like! For $5.99 (or £3.60) a month i get 15gb if space with 120gb data transfer.. Considering the VPS is only being used to act as a DNS server i doubt i will even all that space! For an extra $1.20 (or 73p) you can get another IP address thrown in meaning for a total of £4.33 i get a 15gb VPS with 120gb data transfer and 2 static IPs (One IP will be used for the public to view and the other will be used in conjunction with OpenVPN to give my server upstairs a static IP).. Another good thing was the fact that the server was setup instantly and before i knew it i was in Putty installing Virtualmin!
In the future if i need more space i may eventually upgrade to a bigger package.. Currently i am running Virtualmin, Webmin & Usermin on the server with a total RAM usage of 50% (64mb out of 128mb) and a disk usage of 1.1gb with the ability to shutdown, restart and rebuild the server image at any time!.. Not bad huh?
Me & Sam are now working on sorting out the name servers meaning SK Web Services will be temporarily unavailable to the public as we have to setup the sub-domains but don’t panic!, Hosting services are still up and running!
If your interested in buying a cheap VPS i strongly recommend ServeByte, So far I’ve had no problems and i have contacted support at 4pm on a Saturday and got a response.. Click here to find out more
Ah today i finally got round to booking my theory test appointment! – I am almost prepared i just have to keep practicing on both hazard perception and the theory part of the test and hopefully all will go well!
My appointments on the 4th of February at 11am at the test centre in Dudley – Come watch me fail if you wish!
About half an hour ago i recieved an email basiaclly explaining that someone is trying to reset my admin password for the SKWS.org website – Heres the exact email minus the reset link..
Someone has asked to reset the password for the following site and username.
Username: admin
To reset your password visit the following address, otherwise just ignore this email and nothing will happen.
Now being the ever paranoid nerd i ran straight for the access logs – Do you not know we have them?..

Now as you can see from the logs above the person attempted to log in three times, Maybe if it was only once i could turn a blind eye but yeah..
I have added the IP to a black list on our servers and now they will be denied access to our network – Shortly i will be looking into better methods and maybe an auto detect hack script!
One final word, WHO attempts to hack using Carphone Warehouse internet? It must have taken half a year to load the page let along submit the requests haha
..and the most useless hacker of the year award goes too..
